Woodbine trainer Kevin Attard is confident that his spectacular filly Moira has another big race in her this year. Attard has pre-entered Moira in the $2 million Maker’s Mark Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf race at Keeneland on Nov. 5. The Breeders Cup is considered the world championship of horse racing. Moira exploded on to the scene this year by winning the $500,000 Woodbine Oaks on July 24 by an astounding 10 3/4 lengths and then beat the boys in capturing Canada’s most prestigious race — the Queen’s Plate — by seven lengths on Aug. 21. Her problems in the E.P. Taylor aside, Moira has shown she can compete and win against the best so her chances in the Breeders Cup can’t be discounted. One of the top jockey’s in North America, Frankie Dettori, will ride her at the Breeders Cup.
