Chief among them was a Curlin colt bought in tandem with bloodstock agent Donato Lanni on behalf of an unnamed client for $3.65 million, which made him the most expensive juvenile sold at a North American 2-year-old sale since The Green Monkey. “When he crossed the wire at the breeze show, everyone was on the phone,” Lanni said.
